Field research in West Virginia studying leakage of methane from abandoned oil and natural gas wells.

Independent project involved leading field team in the collection and analysis of oil and gas infrastructure — including locations of pipelines and pipeline junctions — by walking lines and mapping locations of leaks using ArcGIS and Java.

Co-published Measuring methane emissions from abandoned and active oil and gas wells in West Virginia in the Science of The Total Environment in February 2019. Advised by Stuart Riddick and Denise Mauzerall.
